Aircraft Servo Valve Nulling Rigs
As part of our tailored aerospace engineering solutions, Mecelec Design Ltd collaborated with a leading aerospace manufacturer to develop high-performance test rigs for hydraulic servo valve testing. These rigs are specifically designed to test the Units Under Test (UUTs)—hydraulic servo valves used in commercial aircraft systems responsible for actuating slats and flaps.
The rigs are engineered to operate with Hyjet, the specialised hydraulic fluid used in modern aircraft systems. Mecelec’s servo valve nulling rigs provide accurate, repeatable testing conditions to ensure reliability and performance under real-world operating pressures—delivering precision and confidence to critical flight control components.
Aerospace Undercarriage Hydraulic System Qualification Test Rig
In another example of our innovative aerospace engineering solutions, Mecelec Design developed and supplied a comprehensive test system to replicate the aircraft’s hydraulic environment, as powered by three Engine Driven Pumps (EDPs). This system was used for qualification testing of the main and nose landing gear hydraulic systems.
The solution included an acoustic enclosure that safely housed three high-powered motors driving the EDPs, as well as a complete setup of commercial-grade hydraulic pipework. This enabled the transfer of hydraulic oil from the pumps to various aircraft interface points within the client’s test rig—ensuring accurate simulation of operational conditions and compliance with rigorous aerospace standards.
